Background: Acquired in 2000. I was looking for something cheap to drive to work and looked at this one first then lots of other rusty ones then came back to this one.

Prior History: Just rumours….

Best memory: When it was finished and driving it for the first time and seeing people’s reactions!

Horror story: Too long at the paint shop.

Shows: 1st places for engine and paint at the Flat Four Shootout, 1st for engine and 1st post ’68 Beetle at the VW Nationals, twice winner of People’s Choice at other shows, runner-up for Best of Show at Club VW Illawarra show at Bulli.

Future plans: Keep making it better i.e. more detail and more billet

Dream Car: Anything expensive!

Projects: The wife won’t let me….no not really. Recently purchased a daily driver (see below)
