A day at Boris' Picnic Day could be described by many a VW nutter as the perfect Sunday. What more could a Dubber want than a gathering of VW owners, dreamers and swappers plus the added bonus of a free feed!!

This annual event is held by the Georges River on the grounds of the Deepwater Motor Boat Club at Milperra. It was one of those deceptive weather days that starts out cloudy, ends up being quite hot as the day moves on and hopefully everyone had packed up and gotten home safely by the time the hail hit across parts of Sydney.

It's all about relaxation at one of Boris' Picnics. There's no competitive display, just people enjoying each other's company, looking at the VWs, lounging around and perhaps gaining some bragging rights for that "bargain" picked up from one of the swappers.

There was a good showing of cars for viewing, some well known and always a few not seen before. Of course there are always some For Sale and you can see people pause to look at them and think "can I afford this one (or another one)...", "if I could juggle some funds around...", "if only I had the space to..." and "better not, the other half will kill me if I come home with something else".

A big thanks to Boris from Vintage Vee Dub Supplies and Club Vee Dub for putting on a great way to spend a Sunday.
