Background:
Purchased from Steve Rae in 2004. One year spent pulling it
apart. Rebuilding to what I wanted on the road (two and half
years later)
Best memory: Getting a big well done from the
Club members when arriving for its first show debut. It made
the boyhood to manhood dream come true thanks to Steve.
Horror
story: Pulling apart the car and finding how much cancer
had to be removed and work done to get it on the road.
Shows:
Regular attender of Club displays and invited car shows. Two
times winner at the VW Nationals for Best Type 3 & 4 All
Years (Modified).
Future
plans: To drive it and look after it and to encourage
young people into something they can do with a little layout.
Dream
Car: To own one Beetle and one Notch, both chopped,
lowered and dropped!
Projects:
I have a 1971 Beetle just for stripping but my house, wife and
son Joshua are my biggest projects! Currently working on a late
Bay Kombi for some more room!
Other
VWs owned: 1961 Beetle and a 19?? Fatback Type 3
