Sam from DNVK (Der Neuberg Volks Klub) was the driving force behind this top day out. DNVK, based in Newcastle and formed this year, decided to kick off their second cruise with a nice drive to the Central Coast NSW.

The word spread from there and culminated in a joint cruise for DNVK, the VW Historical Society Central Coast chapter, Flat Four and other non-club VW enthusiasts from Sydney and other parts of NSW.

For Flat Four the day kicked off with a nice leisurely cruise from Sydney up to Long Jetty. Arriving to an empty car park brought on those moments of self doubt about my organisational skills but I was very relieved as after a time, VW after VW rolled in to build up the numbers.

By the time everyone had arrived there would have been about 30 VWs covering a range of models, so there was plenty of scrutineering/enjoyment of going over everyone's rides and the usual chit-chat amongst friendly VW people.

As the hunger set in the cruise continued on to Terrigal for a much needed lunch and general laze about in the warmth of the coastal afternoon sun.

Another enjoyable day had by all, thanks again to the organisers involved and looking forward to the next one!
