It's
been a while since we have done a night time cruise but it finally
happened. A Saturday night at the Blacktown Drive-In to see two
movies and mix with some fellow VW owners. This was not a Flat Four
organised cruise but a social outing in the Sydney VW community. |

credit should go to Danny, a forum dweller at http://aussieveedubbers.com
(forum alias dannyboy67) for being the impetus in kick starting
this night and pushing along a concept into a successful event. |

It
was a good turnout not only from the Club but fellow Dubbers from
all over Sydney. People attended from the Outer West, the Eastern
Suburbs, the Northern Beaches and South Western Sydney just to name
a few locations. |

The
movies on that night were The Big Bounce and Troy with mixed ratings
reviews by the audience. I think most people would agree that neither
film is likely to fill the trophy cabinet with Oscars of any description.Anyway,
the films were only a part of the night. |

The good bits were the cruises to the Drive-In and of course the
social chatting and checking out the other Dubs that showed up on
the night. An added bonus were the magnets handed out to each VW
on the night (picture below) which again I think Danny needs to
be credited for. |
