Other mods: Koni suspension front and rear, adjustable front beam

Wheels: 15 x 7 – 5 spoke alloy rims, 205/60/15 tyres

Exterior: Winter White, flared guards

Interior: Honda seats, cloth trim, Empi shifter, sports steering wheel, Sony CD player, VDO Classic tacho, speedo, oil pressure, oil temperature, amp and clock gauges.

Background: Acquired in 1998. Saw one while at Berrima one day and Deb loved it. About six years later we bought one.

Prior History: Partially known.

Best memory: Bringing it home.

Horror story: A fire! Deb was driving when she noticed smoke at the rear. She managed to get the car home where we put out the fire. The engine bay, engine and rears panels were burnt.

Racing: It has been drag raced.

Shows: Trophies have been won for Best Karmann Ghia and Best Engine Bay. Also press coverage through Volkswagen Magazine Australia.

Future plans: New interior to come.
