The VW Nationals is one of the largest VW events in Australia held annually. It is organised by Club VeeDub in Sydney and is held over two days of the Easter long weekend. There is a drag racing day for VWs on the Saturday and a Show & Shine Day on the Sunday.

The Show and Shine day is held at the Fairfield City Showgrounds. Many types of VWs are on display beneath an undercover section of the venue. VWs can be entered in the running for the trophies presented on the day or simply displayed for the admiration of VW lovers.

Many of the usual suspects from Flat Four attended the Show and Shine to check out the latest in the VW scene and also the old faithful rides. Some of our members chanced their hand at winning a trophy for their rides.

There's lots to do on the day and the majority of it can be spent casting a careful eye over the myriad of VWs on display. Some rides you can admire, some cause you to inspire, and some just make you wish that you'd put more fertiliser on the money tree.

Thanks to Club VeeDub for hosting the event for the 17th time.

And so how did Flat Four fare on the day? Congratulations must go to....
