VW Shooting Buggy

I believe from a local VW enthusiast that from the engine number and motor specifics that this is built on approximately a 1955 VWchassis. All the running gear is original (motor, gearbox etc) except for the cab work which seems to be very well put together. Unit will start, although the vacuum advance on the distributor is not hooked up and as such needs work.
