The
2006 All VW Shootout turned out to be a great day thanks to
many of the parties involved. Special thanks to all our sponsors
who make our annual event possible. Thank you to all the VW
owners who proudly entered their cars for judging and thank
you to all the VW enthusiests who came to see the show and
enjoy the day. To all the swappers and traders, we hope you
went home with your trailers lighter and your wallets heavier!!
It
looked as though the weather was going to be terrible for
the event with a big downpour of rain leading up to the day
including plenty of showers the night before. On the morning
of the Shootout we were wondering how much of an effect the
weather would have as it seemed a little bit quiet for the
first hour or so. It goes to show that you can't dampen (sorry
for the poor joke!) the spirits of the VW community though
as the cars and people continued to pour in. The overcast
conditions were probably a blessing in disguise for the swappers
and those wanting to relax outside in the grass area as the
rain held off but it didn't get hot and humid either.
We
hope you enjoyed the Shootout and look forward to seeing you
all again at the 2007 event.
