Flat
Four's Committee meets the week before each Monthly General Meeting
of the Club (usually the Friday night before) to confirm plans and
work out the nitty gritty of issues being discussed within the club.
The Committee members hold elected positions for a term of two years.
If
you have an interest in the Club it might be a good idea to seek
out the Committee members for answers to your enquiries ... but
of course, most Flat Four members can tell you about the Club
and what we are doing. Flat Four is, afterall, the members' Club.
The 2005-2007 Committee is comprised of:

President
- Murray Fleming
Murray and his wife Vicki, along with their two daughters, Corrine
and Rochelle have been members of Flat Four since 1998. Murray
was elected Vice-President in 1999 and to President in 2000 after
the resignation of the position by Mike Martinez. Murray is the
owner of a modified 1956 oval Beetle that has picked up many trophies
and awards since its restoration and modification. He and Vicki
also own a dual-cab T3 Kombi. |

Vice
President - Dave Silvestri
Dave joined the Club in 2000 with wife Leanne and daughters Amy
and Bree. Dave was elected to the position in 2001. Dave and Leanne
have two Beetles, "Ela" a 1966 and "Olly"a
1957. Dave's verbal reports of club events at meetings are both
informative and humourous.

- Philip Svoronos
Phil has previously been a Sergeant-At-Arms and was elected Treasurer
in 2003. His culinary skills are often displayed and appreciated
at Club events also. |

Corrin has been a member of Flat Four since 1998. She has the
luxury on long trips of being able to travel in the comfort of
her 1995 VW Golf! Mmmmmm...air-conditioning... |

- Peter Huckstepp
Flat Four member since 2002, Peter is well-known now in the VW
community for his "Billet Bug". A 1969 Beetle with many
parts hand-crafted through hours of meticulous work by Peter (and
just as many hours of patience from his wife Dawn!). |

Macca has been a member of the Club 1992. Elected to Sergeant-At-Arms
in 2001. He is known to enjoy a few refreshments up at Valla,
just don't get him to mix a drink for you! |

Acquisitions
Officer - Stuart Morris
A member of the Club since 1998. Stuart makes interiors, car bras
and other accessories for VWs as part of his own business. There
is no use posting a photo of him as his haircut and colour can
change more often than politician's promise! |

Property
Officer - Steve Rae
Steve joined the Club in 1998. Barbara and Steve use to drive
a well known ribena Kombi called "Fatso". They now have
a silver T3. Steve is well known for his tall but true tales.
Also the unofficial Club Comedian - the campfire king.

Brad joined the club with partner Bobbi Brightwell in 1998. Brad
became a Club Rep in 2001. Brad and Bobbi are the proud owners
of a 1960 modified Beetle, a 1967 Squareback, a 23 window bus
(under restoration) and a 2002 Turbo New Beetle. |

Photographer - Vicki Fleming
Vicki has been a member of Flat Four since 1998. A good eye for
capturing great photographs and doesn't let the opportunity slip
past to sample a good wine also. They say behind every great man
there is a greater woman ....Vicki's husband happens to be the Club
President! |

Editor - Bill Daws
Bill joined Flat Four in 2003. He is our own Ita Buttrose (I assure
you Bill this is a compliment!!). When he is not being Jimmy Olsen,
getting the latest scoop, he is usually sniffing out the next project
VW he can acquire!

Webmaster
- Scott France
Scott joined Flat Four with his wife Dianne, and two daughters
Amy and Jemma in 2003 (and now son Ethan as of 2004). He was appointed
to the position of Webmaster in 2004. Scott drives a 1976 Kombi
camper known as the "Sunshine Bus", it is easily identified
once you've seen it! |
