Volksday 2004, Hosted by Club VW Illawarra. Car Show entrants - in by 8.30am. Prize money up for grabs. Flat Four leaving Koshigaya Park (Campbelltown) at 8.00am.

April 2004

Sunday 4th

Saturday 10th
VW Nationals presented by Club Vee Dub Sydney. Drag Racing at Western Sydney International Dragway, Eastern Creek from 10.00am - 4.00pm.

Sunday 11th
VW Nationals Show'n'Shine at Fairfield City Showground. Show Car Entry set up before 9.00am.

May 2004

Sunday 2nd

Blast from the Past - organised by the Shoalhaven Volkswagen Club. A display of classic VWs to be held at the Great Southern Hotel, Queen Street, Berry. Funds raised will be donated to the Shoalhaven Cancer Bus, gold coin for general admission, gates open at 10.00am. All cars for display please arrive between 8.30am and 9.30am. People's Choice Award for VW of the show - $10 entry. Raffle prizes to be won. So come and support a great cause, see some classic VWs, enjoy the Berry Country Fair and have a great feed at the Great Southern! Flat Four members cruising to the show should meet at Koshigaya Park (Campbelltown) at 7.00am.

Sunday 16th
Flat Four Club Photo Day!! Cruise with everyone to Jelly Bean Pool, Glenbrook for lunch. Meet 9.00am at Narellan McDonalds. Shine your cars, put on your Flat Four gear and get ready to have a great day out! There will be photos taken of your VWs so you can have your pride and joy profiled in the member's rides section of the revamped website :)

Saturday 22nd
Drive-In cruise to Blacktown Drive-In. Leaving from Narellan McDonalds at 4.30pm to meet other VWs from across Sydney. This meet has been organised by the friendly folk at AussieVeeDubbers Forum (http://www.aussieveedubbers.com) and we are tagging along for the good times!

June 2004

Long weekend Club cruise and bbq. Surprise destination!!! Bring your winter woolies to kick start the best Cruisin Time of the year. Meet at Narellan McDonalds at 10.00am.

July 2004

Sunday 4th
Central Coast Cruise.
Meeting at McDonalds at Thornleigh (218-226 Pennant Hills Road, Thornleigh - where we met before cruising to Nambucca last year) at 8am.
The initiative for this event comes from members of DNVK, a Newcastle based VW Club, who originally intended to hold a cruise from their area down to The Entrance on the Central Coast. This event has now grown in size and they will be joined by members from the VW Historical Society based on the Central Coast. This cruise is open to all VW lovers! The plan is to cruise up to the Central Coast and meet the members from other clubs around 10.30am-11.00am. Then go somewhere for lunch and perhaps a further short cruise to Terrigal. The destinations are still to be finalised. Due to a growing number of attendees, the original meeting point of The Entrance may now have to be Long Jetty. Keep watching this post as it will be updated as further information is received.

Sunday 11th
Test & Tune Day. Get your Volkswagen running its best (especially if you're heading to Nambucca!). Brad's workshop - Unit 22, 340 Hoxton Park Road, Hoxton Park. Please RSVP Steve (ph#4658-1935) if you can attend so he can cater accordingly.

Friday 30th
Leave for the VW Spectacular 2004, Valla Park (Nambucca) - 5.00am McDonalds at Thornleigh (218-226 Pennant Hills Road, Thornleigh).

Saturday 31st
Convoy to Nambucca township for Show & Shine (display only, not competition) in Bowra Street, Nambucca Heads. Afternoon racing on at Raleigh Raceway.

August 2004

Sunday 1st
Show & Shine (competitive or display only), fun events, at Valla Park.

Monday 2nd
Leave Valla for return drive to Sydney.

Sunday 8th

Boris' Picnic Day at Deepwater Motor Boat Club. Leaving Moorebank McDonalds (corner of Newbridge Road and Stockton Avenue, Moorebank) at 8.00am to cruise together to the picnic.

Saturday 25th / Sunday 26th
Canberra VW weekend presented by Steve Crispin (click here for contact details). As this weekend falls at the same time as a wedding for members of the Club, this will not be large Club turnout. Contact the Club find out who is making the trip.

October 2004

2004 Londonderry Country Blues and Folk Festival. Londonderry Park, Londonderry. It is the annual Londonderry Rural Fire Bridgade fundraiser with live bands, food and goods stalls and a full fairground. Those members interested should meet at Narellan McDonalds at 10am.

Flat Four Christmas Party at Stanwell Park Beach. Get ready for good food, good friends and a great cruise down to the beach. Santa will also visit the kids during the day. Bring your swimmers and come and relax!
