Wednesday 26th
NRMA Motorfest 2005. This is the 20th Anniversary and is the largest outdoor display of vehicles in the Southern Hemisphere.

February 2005

Sunday 6th
General Meeting. Meeting at Prestons McDonalds from 6.30pm. Cruising to Liverpool Catholic Club at 7.00pm.

Sunday 12th
Join fellow Vee-Dubbers from DNVK (Newcastle), the Volkswagen Historical Society (also based North) and the newly reformed Central Coast VW Club for a German invasion at the 2nd Annual Euro Classsic hosted by the Hunter Region MG Car Club. It will be held at Lambton Park (not far from Newcastle), speak to Scott for further details.

Sunday 13th
Bulli Show hosted by VW Illawarra at Sandon Point at Bulli. $5 entry per vehicle, gold coin donation for public entry.

March 2005

Sunday 6th
Dyno Day at Custom Bugs & Buses. Free dyno power runs for VWs of any type and any engine. Meet at Narellan McDonalds at 9.00am.

VW Nationals Drag Day hosted by Club VW Sydney at the Western Sydney International Dragway (at Eastern Creek).

VW Nationals Show 'N Shine at Fairfield Showground. Leaving from Liverpool Pools at 8.00am.

April 2005

Monday 25th April (Anzac Day long weekend)
Picnic Day - meet at Narellan McDonalds at 9.00am. Come out and take your VW for a good drive. Relax, have a BBQ lunch at Cataract Dam and catch up with great friends.

May 2005

The Cawdor Uniting Church has approached me requesting a show of VW for their fete to be held on 4 June 05. The Fete will be in full swing by 10.00am.

This is at least a chance for cars on vintage rego to have a run.

Cawdor Uniting Church is located on Cawdor Road, Cawdor, well south of Burrorgorang Road.

Model Farm Luddenham (the Sydney Society of Engineers Model Farm is located at 869 Luddenham Road, Luddenham). Meet at Liverpool Pools (car park outside the Whitlam Leisure Centre, Memorial Avenue, Liverpool) at 9.00am for a 9.30am sharp departure. BBQ lunch, combined run with Club Vee Dub. Entry is $10.00 per car. Click here to see a map.

Things to see there include LIVE STEAM RAILWAY (there are 2 tracks: a 2½”/3½”/5” elevated track and a 5”/7¼” ground level track), GARDEN RAILWAY (45mm gauge), HO GAUGE RAILWAY, CONTROL LINE AIRCRAFT, RADIO CONTROLLED AIRCRAFT, QUARTER SCALE CARS (these cars use petrol motors and achieve quite high speeds during racing), TETHER CARS (cars with model aircraft type engines which run on a wire cable on a circular track and reach speeds of up to 300kmph!) SLOT CARS, BOAT POND (well a dam actually, scale boats, yachts etc as well a speed boats use the pond), CLUB HOUSE (a display of models with a staionary steam section, canteen and gift shop).

July 2005

General Meeting. Meeting at Prestons McDonalds from 6.30pm. Cruising to Liverpool Catholic Club at 7.00pm. Final payment for accommodation at Nambucca due at this meeting.

Saturday 9th
Herbie Fully Reloaded - Bass Hill Drive-In. 6pm early bird session. Meet at Liverpool Pools (car park outside the Whitlam Leisure Centre, Memorial Avenue, Liverpool) at 4.00pm for a 4.30pm cruise to the Drive-In. Alternatively, turn up at the Bass Hill Drive-In (Johnston Street, Bass Hill) at 5pm. Entry is $22 per car, as many people in the VW as you can fit! The movie starts at 6pm (after which time cars must depart, only one movie included at this price for this event due to school holidays).

Early next year...

No Club meeting or events in Janaury. The NRMA Motorfest is being held on the 26th January 2006. Entries close on Friday 11th November (entry forms distributed with the October Club newsletter).

There will most likely be a pub lunch cruise on Australia Day (26th January), details to be updated later.

The first General Meeting for 2006 will be on Sunday 5th February. The first Club run for 2006 has been pencilled in for Sunday 19th February. Details will be given at the February General Meeting.

On Sunday 26th February there is a Central Coast Show 'N shine at Tuggerah. Entry $10.00, ask at the next meeting for details if required.
