Flat Four is a very 'participation' based club. Many events are held over the year to suit all tastes. Some favourites of the club are attending car shows, picnics and even the occasional dinner!

Visitors are always welcome at events, in fact it's a great way to get to know some of the members before taking the plunge and joining a club. It's always a good idea to contact us during the week leading up to an advertised event just to confirm that it is still going ahead as planned.

Sunday 12th - Invitation Run
This is the 3rd year for the Euro Day hosted by the Hunter MG Club. The VW side of the show is being co-ordinated by the Newcastle based VW club, DNVK. The show is held in Lambton Park and showcases cars from all European makes and models. Last they got over 75 Dubs to the show to represent Volkswagen. This year they want it to be even bigger! Meet at Knights Football Stadium, Turton Rd, New Lambton at 9am Sunday. They will be cruising in a huge VW convoy to the Show from there. DNVK are also having a camp out the night before at Birubi Beach caravan park. Sunday 12th - Club Run
Club VW Illawarra presents VWs at The Point. Come and enjoy an exhibition of Volkswagens at Sandon Point, Bulli. Enter your car in the exhibition (gold coin donation entry fee to the exhibition, $5 to enter your car, swap meet sites $10, proceeds to the Sandon Point Nippers). Near to Sandon Point Beach, have a picnic in the park, band at the exhibition, hot food and cold drinks available, trophies to be awarded for People's Choice and Nipper's Choice. 3rd Annual Central Coast Show 'N Shine opposite Homemakers Supa Centa at Tuggerah. Set up from 7.00amam to 10.00am. $10 Car entry - Driver / 1 Passenger, additional Passenger & Public Entry gold coin donation. Open to all amkes and models. Contact Glen Priestland on mb#0416-253-857 for details.

Sunday 19th - Invitation Run
Bad Little Bug-gers QLD invites all Volkswagen drivers to Queensland’s largest Annual VW event “Dubs By The Pub”. All VWs welcome - Air or Water cooled, the more the better! Join the Cruise from Boondall to the Ettamogah pub, then enjoy the Show and Shine, Swap Meet & trade show.

Meet 7am 19Th Feb 06 @ the Boondall Entertainment Center for registration.

Club Vee Dub Sydney hosts the VW Nationals 2006. 15th 10.00am - an observation run shall leave the Greyhound Club (140 Rookwood Road, Yagoona), finishing for a free sausage sizzle and drinks at Vintage VeeDub around 12.00pm.

15th 9.00pm - Herbie movie night at Fairfield Showground. BYO food and drinks. Come along at 7.00pm if you wish to set up for the Sunday.

16th 8.30am - VW Nationals Show 'N Shine at Fairfield Showground - swap meet, show, activities for the family. Hosted by Club Vee Dub Sydney.

Tuesday 25th - Club Run
ANZAC Day cruise to Cataract Dam. Free BBQ. Meet at Koshigaya Park at 10.00am (if the carpark is full go to the new McDonalds at Queen Street, Campbelltown).

Berry Blast From The Past hosted by the Shoalhaven VW Club at the Great Southern Hotel at Berry. Meet at Koshigaya Park at 8.00am for an 8.30am departure. All cars to be in place by 9.30am at Berry. Cost of $10.00 per car, all proceeds going to charity.

Sunday 7th - Invitation Run
Good Guys Charity Sunday - Cyclone Larry Relief Car Show at Panthers Leagues Club. Live bands and DJ, demonstrations, trade stands, dyno challenge, celebrities, it's all there on the day from bikes to trucks. Entry forms available here $30.00 per car includes 2 adults and 2 children.

Saturday 20th - Club Run
Drive In Night at Bass Hill- all clubs and VW owners are welcome. We don't know what's on, it's just a night for a cruise, a chit-chat and some fun! Keep an eye on the following link which should update closer to the date:

We are meeting at 5.30pm at the old Liverpool pools car park (pools at the Whitlam Leisure Centre on Memorial Avenue) anticipating a departure time of 6.00pm for a leisurely cruise to the movies.

I believe that gates at the Drive-In open at 6.30pm. There is the usual food facilities inside but if you prefer takeaway I think there is a pizza place and a Chinese restaurant next to the venue also.

This is an open invitation for other clubs and any VW owners to join us on the night. After the movies we are planning on cruising to Krispy Kremes at Campbelltown for supper.

The VW Classic and Vintage Club of Australia has invited Flat Four to participate in a display of cars at the "Local Heroes" All VW and NSW Rural Fire Service Show. Meet at Prestons McDonalds at 8.00am for a cruise to Ellerman Park, Pettit Lane, Round Corner at Dural.
